Today marks the first Friday before a Cal game of the 2010 season, so imagine my surprise this morning when Matt mentioned that he had no idea of what to wear. Dumbfounded I asked, what about Oski Wow-Wow? That's when he reminded me of the tragedy that started to occur last season. You see, each Friday the shirt was getting snugger and snugger (not because Matt was getting bigger, the shirt was just shrinking and he wasn't shrinking with it). Even though he knew what the outcome would be,he tried the shirt on this AM with hopes of some sort of miracle that would deem the fit socially acceptable. And it was! If Matt was an 18 year old female college coed in a wet t-shirt contest during spring break.
Because, in Matt's eyes, I only weigh 20 lbs less than him, the next logical thing to do was try it on myself to see if it fit. And it did! And I don't even look like I'm trying out for a wet t-shirt contest! So, I am now left to carry on the tradition (until he buys a new one in a bigger size so that we have yet another thing we have to worry about making us look like twins). And while I may not get to fill myself full of 5 dollar pitchers before 5, I still have just as much Cal spirit and excitement for tomorrow's game.
GO BEARS, BEAT THE AGGIES!
p.s. don't worry about Matt, his new tradition is this really ugly pair of blue and gold argyle socks he accidently bought from J. Crew and has been saving for today.
